"I'm writing this out of the utmost appreciation for an incredible OCD non profit called JACK! With their generous scholarship I have been blessed to get evidenced-based OCD treatment! OCD treatment is different than typical therapy covered by insurance companies. Unfortunately, I could not find 1 OCD therapist that accepts my insurance. At 55 years old and after 28 years of living with very little OCD, I found myself in the midst of a devastating lapse with extreme anxiety and severe insomnia. It was terrifying, I was overwhelmed, exhausted and desperate for help. After several sessions with 2 different therpists I found through my insurance company, it was obvious they had no experience treating OCD & knew nothing about the evidenced based treatments.
